On November 6, 2017, KBI participated as a panelist and speaker at the Cal EPA Public Workshop on Lead-Acid Batteries and Alternatives. KBI's Exec Vice President, Todd Coy, was asked to provide details on the current state of lithium battery recycling in North America including enter into discussions emphasised on the complexities of lithium battery management in California. Other participants included the Director of Environmental Affairs from the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, and the Director and Deputy Direct of the California Department of Toxic Substance Control ("DTSC"), Barbara Lee and Meredith Williams.




On November 8, 2017, KBI took part in a roundtable discussion hosted by The Portable Rechargeable Battery Association ("PRBA").
